Getting the right supplies for electroforming is probably one of the most important steps when you start your journey. Unfortunately, there isnt really one specific website where you can buy all your electroforming supplies online.
However, there are plenty of pretty good shops and marketplaces where you can find tools, chemicals, and components for electroforming jewelry. So, if youre wondering where you can get what you need to make copper jewelry, read on to discover the 10 best places to buy electroforming supplies online.

1. Amazon
This might sound pretty obvious, but Amazon is definitely your best place to find electroforming supplies online. If youre in the USA, I believe you can find at least 95% of everything you need just on Amazon. However, European marketplaces have less choice, so youll have to shop around.
When I first started, I bought almost everything I needed on Amazon. Youll find your rectifier, copper, beaker, and other jewelry making supplies. The only things you cant find on Amazon are the electroforming solution and the copper brightener.
You can even find organics like crystals, bones, and other dried leaves. Amazon really is the best place to start.

2. Etsy
I buy most (if not all) my crystals on Etsy. To me, its the best place to source high-quality crystals from all over the world. You can find pretty good shops and low prices as well. And if youre looking for stores in the US, youll find hundreds with a wide range of different stones.
Of course, you can also buy other supplies on Etsy, like jewelry making tools, findings, charms, and even insects. The only thing I dont like with Etsy is that most sellers have very high shipping costs which is more of a problem if youre in Europe and want to buy from a shop in the US.
Also, if you want to get an electroforming kit, you can find several options on Etsy.

3. Rio Grande
Rio Grande is probably one of the most popular suppliers among jewelry makers. This American company has been around for ages, and on their website, youll find the supplies you need for electroforming.
Whether you want electroforming solution, copper brightener, copper wire, or even jewelry making findings, and chains, they have it all.
On Rio Grande, youll even find jewelers benches and crystal cabochons. This website literally has everything you could ever need as a jewelry maker.
I find their prices a little bit high for some supplies (like packaging or chains) but if you dont want to order in China, Rio Grande is your best option.

4. Tifoo
Want more information on Whoelsale Silver Conductive Fabric Exporter? Feel free to contact us.
Tifoo is a german website specialized in electroforming and electroplating. On their website, youll find electroforming solution, copper brighter but also copper paint and electroforming kits.
They actually have kits for copper, silver and gold plating. So, if you want to try plating silver or gold, youll find everything you need on Tifoos website. Tifoo is definitely the best European shop to buy electroforming supplies online.
However, for the other supplies like jewelry components, crystals, and findings youll have to go on Amazon or on another jewelry making supplies website.

5. Safer solutions
Safer Solutions is a company based in Philadelphia. This company only sells copper paint specifically for electroforming. I think most electroformers in the US get their copper conductive paint from there. You can also buy it if youre in Europe as they have an international sales page.
Unlike most other paints used for electroforming, their paint is not made with graphite. It is an actual copper paint, which is said to be more conductive than graphite.

6. Lacy West
Lacy west is a supplier to jewelers based in Canada. When I lived in Montreal, I was getting my electroforming solution from this shop. They also have patina (JAX brown) and Midas copper brightener.
This was the only place I found that actually sold electroforming solution. As it cannot be imported from the US, youll have to buy it from Lacy West if you live in Canada.
They also sell a lot of other supplies you might need like polishing tools, boxes or copper sheets. And if you want to combine electroforming with another crafting technique such as soldering, you can buy everything on this website.

7. 8 Seasons
8 Seasons is a big Chinese marketplace similar to Aliexpress. Except that they have a huge range of jewelry making supplies. Needless to say, you wont find things like electroforming solution or copper brightener on this website.
But, if you want jewelry making supplies for cheap, youll love 8 Seasons. I have bought many things on this website, including charms, chains, jump rings, resin, and more. They honestly provide good quality material. I even buy my jewelry boxes on 8 Seasons, and Ive never been disappointed with the quality. On top of that, their prices are really low.
You can spend hours browsing their website because they have so many things on there. And their stock is renewed all the time so its definitely worth checking out. They sell in bulk, so be prepared to receive a lot of supplies.
The only downside to this website is that you have to wait at least 3 weeks to get your parcel since its coming from China.

8. The Butterfly Company
The Butterfly Company is a supplier of dead insects and bugs for crafters. This is the perfect place for electroformers who dream of turning beautiful butterflies, cicadas and other beetles into pieces of jewelry.
They sell many different specimens at affordable prices. So if youre looking for a specific bug, youll probably find it on the Butterfly Company. If youre worried about being ethical, their website mentions that all insect specimens for sale are farm-raised insects that died from natural causes.
If youre looking for beautiful insects for your next project, dont forget to check out the Butterfly Company.

9. Beadaholique
Beadaholique is a jewelry making supplies shop. I have ordered gemstone, beads, and charms many times on this website and Ive always been satisfied with the quality.
I recommend checking out Beadaholique if you want to work with Swarovski crystals. They honestly have a wide range of those on their website and I know they look amazing electroformed!
Also, if youre looking for patinas, sealers, or jewelry care supplies, youll find everything you need on Beadaholique.

10. Fire Mountain Gems
Fire Mountain Gems is essentially a jewelry making supplies store. You wont find anything specifically for electroforming but I know many artists who buy their jewelry supplies on this website.
Its a great store for those looking for chains, clasps, findings, charms, and other things needed when making jewelry in general. They also sell beads, clay, and gemstone cabochons. On top of that, they sell at wholesale prices so they are really affordable.
What I like the most on Fire Mountain Gems is actually their How-To videos and tutorials! They have a section with free videos for you to get inspiration. Its very interesting, especially if you combine electroforming with other techniques.

Bottom line
There are many places where you can buy your electroforming supplies online. In this post, I have recommended websites I have personally used and love.
If youre in the USA, I think you can buy literally everything you need for electroforming just on Amazon and Rio Grande. For crystals, I definitely recommend checking out Etsy, where youll find reliable sellers from all over the world.
And finally, for your jewelry making supplies you can either buy everything on Rio Grande or head to 8 Seasons if youre on a budget.
