Air suspension coil spring conversion replacement ...

Air suspension coil spring conversion replacement restoration.

I was broke, as it seems I often am these days during this fine depression, so rather than spending $500.00 each for Firestone bags, which was well beyond my means, I went to Suspention-Alternatives & got this coil spring conversion intending it to be a temporary fix & a backup system should whatever I restore the bags with once again fail;

They have rather cheap airbags too for $85.00 But I didn't wanna trust'em;
http://www.suspension-alternatives.c.../-smltc-as.htm

However, I'm rather apprehensive about using cheap airbags, being as When I go shooting, I go down knarly fire access roads with MANY potholes that about swallow the car & after driving it home when the Firestone bags went out on smooth road, I'll be damned if I wanna risk cheap-o standard duty bags with this extreme duty situation.
Where I shoot is about 10 miles into the cascade foothills & WAY out of cellphone range... Verizon can't "hear me now" when I'm out there.

The springs work great, they were a ridiculously easy install & they restore the factory ride height perfectly.

The Pic in my sig line is with the coil springs.

All that being said, I miss the auto leveling suspension thing for if I ever really load up the trunk...
I mean... What't the use of driving an "official mafia staff-car" if it won't automatically hide the 5 bodies in the trunk?

So my question is this:
Has anyone replaced the bags with heavier duty limo bags?

That site has'em for $110.00 each;

If so, did your compressor inflate them well?
I assume the ride height sensor keeps the ride height stock, but an I wrong? The reason I ask, is I'm sure I'm not the only one who's seen a T/C rollin' down the road looking like a raked Chevelle 1/4 mile car with slicks.

The links I posted lead to the company's new site with higher prices than I paid. Also, now they list this kit for $645.00 for manual operation & it comes with a heavier duty compressor;

Yeah... I know... It's missing the dryer. They sell it on the site too.

So anyone swap to limo bags? How'd it work?

I'd love to buy Firestone bags, but I simply cannot afford to pay $500.00+ for each bag from the stealership.
I just don't make enough $$$ to justify the added expense.
